What Is a Cursor Hotspot?
A cursor hotspot is the exact pixel that Windows treats as the active point of the cursor. For an arrow cursor, the hotspot is usually at the tip of the arrow.
How coordinates work
Hotspot coordinates start at the top-left corner of the image. X moves from left to right, and Y moves from top to bottom. A hotspot of X 0 and Y 0 means the top-left pixel is the active point.
Why it matters
If the hotspot is wrong, the cursor may look like it is clicking beside the target instead of on it. Setting the hotspot correctly makes the cursor feel accurate.
